ABOUT GRACE

My calling to birth work comes from a lineage of traditional midwives and women who have supported mothers through pregnancy, birth and postpartum for generations. Long before I knew the word "doula", I had already witnessed the power of women caring for women. My own journey began in 2004 at the Royal Free Hospital in London, where I supported my first birth. Since then, I have had the privilege of walking alongside families through some of the most transformative moments of their lives.Over the years, my path has taken me through many different worlds, supporting women and families through home births, hospital births, high-risk pregnancies, Caesarean births, postpartum recovery and the transition into parenthood. Alongside my work as a practising doula, I have taught hypnobirthing, supported trauma recovery, mentored doulas, facilitated mother blessings and postnatal ceremonies, and volunteered with organisations dedicated to improving maternity care and protecting birth rights. My journey has also included work in corporate social responsibility, postgraduate studies in Digital Health at University College London, and the development of new approaches to maternal wellbeing. I have also become a mother myself, giving birth in different settings and experiencing the realities of pregnancy, birth and postpartum first-hand.Today, my work brings together everything I have learned, the evidence-based and the intuitive, the practical and the emotional, the clinical and the holistic. Whether supporting a family during pregnancy, labour, birth or postpartum, my approach is rooted in compassion, respect, informed choice and deep listening.I believe every woman deserves to feel informed, supported and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth and the transition to motherhood. That belief has guided my work for more than two decades and remains at the heart of everything I do.Alongside my work as a doula, I am also Co-Founder of Ceraluna Health, a maternal wellbeing platform exploring how technology can help women feel seen, supported and understood throughout the perinatal journey.

20 years of birth support

*A full-circle moment - London, October 2023.
20 Years of Birth Support
Almost twenty years after supporting my very first birth at the Royal Free Hospital in November 2004, I unexpectedly crossed paths again with Dawn, who had since become a Midwife Supervisor.Standing together in the same hospital where my journey began was a powerful reminder of the enduring nature of birth work. Nearly two decades later, we were both still devoted to supporting women and families through one of life's most profound transitions. Some journeys come full circle.
